The design is based on the Damascus Gate and the walls of the city of Jerusalem that surround it from all sides, taking its recurring elements as an abstract pattern that reflects the symbolism of the walls and the history of the city. The design wraps around the bag, simulating how the wall surrounds the Old City of Jerusalem.
